Liquid Face Lift

Liquid Face Lift – Facial Contouring

As we age, the face begins to lose collagen and elastin which contributes to sagging facial features. The loss of facial volume and elasticity also leads to the formation of wrinkles, lines and folds.

A liquid facelift is a technique for injecting advanced dermal fillers to lift and contour facial features. A non-surgical liquid facelift can be undertaken to accomplish any of the following:

  • Gentle lift of individual (or overall) facial features
  • Reduce wrinkles, creases, line or folds
  • Restoration of natural, curved facial contours
  • A more rested, energetic look
  • A friendlier smile

In some patients, the goal of a nonsurgical liquid facelift procedure is to lift the entire face. In others, the goal is to lift or contour specific facial features. For example, under-eye bags and dark circles can be masked by using liquid facelift techniques; eyes can be opened up and lids lifted; jowls can be lifted and diminished; the natural shape can be restored to flattened cheeks or temple areas; corners of the mouth can be lifted, and bumps on the nose can be hidden. A liquid facelift involves the use of advanced dermal fillers, sometimes in combination with BOTOX® or Dysport®.

How Long Will It Last?

A liquid facelift will typically last for one to two years, depending on the products used and the facial area treated.

Eye Area – Facial Contouring

  • Eyelid lift
  • Bags
  • Dark circles
  • Sunken eyes
  • Brow lift
  • Drooping eyelids

Chin – Facial Contouring

  • Prejowl sulcus
  • Receding chin
  • Overly prominent chin

Liquid facelift correction techniques can make a smoother contour between the jowls and chin, as well as lifting and diminishing jowls.

Cheeks and Lips – Facial Contouring

  • Upper cheek
  • Cheek hollow
  • Jowl lift
  • Lip definition

Frown Lift

As a part of the aging process, many individuals begin to develop an exaggerated frown, as the corners of the mouth turn down and lines extending from the corners of the downturned lips (oral commissure lines) develop. Many individuals also have lines that fan out from the corners of the mouth, as well.

Nose – Non-Surgical Nose Contouring

Many individuals are concerned about the contour or imperfections of their noses. For this reason, a surgical nose job, known as a rhinoplasty, is the third most popular cosmetic surgical procedure. In 2007, 152,000 Americans underwent rhinoplasty procedures to surgically correct or enhance misshapen noses.

However, the number of rhinoplasty procedures performed in 2007 was down over 25% since the turn of the century, partly because of a nonsurgical rhinoplasty alternative developed by a small group of leading physicians. While surgery may still be the best option for many individuals, the nonsurgical nose job alternative is a viable option for a large number of rhinoplasty candidates.
